Oh yah, speaking of which, our Sec 4 Grad nite was a success, and i am so proud of the council.
The night itself was hilarious, and the sec 4s were wild, wild WILD.
It's our turn next year guys, and we had better get wilder than them,Oh Yeah Baby, Break that all time record...Shake it, Shake it!
- The teachers were also playing like theres no tmr... Mr Quay, Ms Chow, Mr Edwin Heng, Mr Goh kee yong etc were also so hilarious, They were like so High all night long. I swear, there was no alcohol served that night...So many funny moments too - eg. some one went up on stage and declared: i love you Mrs Lim, TWICE. and there were game groups named after teachers
- Mr Steven Quay: Group 1 first chose the name "EATSHITANDDIE" and they got disregarded, so they chose to use KWAY CHAP instead.
- Mr Edwin Heng: Group 2 loved mr heng so much that they used his name "Tow Yang" instead, something new i learnt that night.
Then there was the issue of excess cans of Nescafe coffee, so i spammed 6 cans that night.
Was also up on stage to assist the emcee, stood there for few hours, worse effect than the Ma Bu Stance...
Mrs Loh( ex teacher) came for the grad night as well, and since she was our former council teacher, we took a picture together and printed it out on the spot, pretty cool..
So that concludes my sleepless nights, i'd better sleep before i start pulling out home work and doing them.. GOOD NIGHT>>>
Woah i took a break for 2 weeks, thats quite. My apologies, but this blog is certainly not dead. (FYI)
Back to today, i've got lots of stuff to say man. After the hectic OBS camp at Pulao Ubin, i certainly returned home with
1) a weird Tan on my skin
2)Aching body
3) Scars and bruises
4)New friends
It was quite shag, buit it was all worthwhile. why do i say that, cause i did experience many things which one would not normally go through on an average day. I mean, who would wake up one fine sunday morning and say, "Hey, lets go kayaking around pulao ubin right now!"
Come on, if you're one who would dilligently do this every week, kudos to you.
So, here's a brief summary of what happened there,
- Climbing a giant pirate ship model, like as a high elements course. Was belaying all the way with the cat high boys, namely: Marcus Teo & Yun Mu (Sam- a nickname the pasir ris sec students came up for him cause they could not pronounce his name) ehemm...!@@Terng Jie (Peter - Same reason) was slacking there drinking his water... The hot sun was intensely punishing, as we were like 5 stories (i tink so) above the ground, walking on a ladder with the sun blinding our eyes. There were rope burns and blisters too, sad.
- Then there was the 16km kayaking experience around the island of Pulao Ubin. Which was funny though, our objective was to get from campsite 55 to campsite 2 which was like only 1km away, but we had to take the long route and go round in the other direction, talk about tiring. We encountered large waves, strong curents, stormy seas, rain, blazing sun and seasickness. Believe me, the only method we had to counter the seaseickness was an orange. many people kept the orange skins after eating it and sniffed it to stop the dizziness. psst, My kayaking partner was seasick for like perhaps 1/3 of the journey, so i had to TANK for that journey, luckily she would occasionally help to row a few strokes before taking a short rests and so on... #Peeing in the sea was not an easy thing, guys, if you think that aiming at the urinal for the past 15 years was difficult, it would be an understatement. Imagine being half submerged and trying so hard to force the pee out of you from an area of lower pressure to higher pressure, its much harder than Taking that dump. OMG... In total, the kayaking experience took 9 hrs, super shag, and to make things worse, we were bitten badly by sandflies. Terng Jie has a new mission from this experince, when he earns money, he is gonna exterminate all sandflies in the OBS territories and be labelled as a SAINT - the exterminator of sandflies..lols
- Then there was the 5 hrs land expedition, where we were supposed to trek from campsite 2 to campsite 1, passing through some checkpoints in the process. Funny though, that after 2 hrs, my group had returned back to camp 2, why, cause that 2 hrs were spent going up a hill 55m in height, trying to find 2 checkpoints in the middle of a downpour. we returned back to camp 2 to take a break ( due to Cat1 emergency - lightning risk). It was great though, as everyone were carrying 20+ kg of supplies (tents, food, personal items) and our muscles were aching like nobodies' business. when we finally reached our destination, we jumped for joy and were playing about, for me, after 30min back at camp, all the pain kicked in at one shot, i could not move for 2 mins. There were tasks during the journey also, one which included having to singing while travelling, which was embarassing, as frankly IT WASN"T GOOD '<_>' Then there was the talking sesion, where we would have to pick a partner which was of the opposite gender, and from a different school. I learnt alot about my partner too, which was memorable.
A few things i learnt at OBS and i wanna give a few personal comments.Watch out when grouped with Terng Jie - he is like a major suaning machine, lickily for me there was nothing to suan about, but sorry to ppl like Marcus Teo, Nedra, Yunmu, Pebbles, Shafiq (haha, bushroom) etc.
